Trauma on Kids From Family Separation.
I have read an article published on Daily Kos by Gabe Ortiz, published this morning September 19th, 2019. This article is titled “HHS official testifies family separation policy inflicted 'extraordinarily severe' trauma on kids”. This article is about the trauma that migrant children are experiencing due to the separation of them from their parents. This article references to several people of high status and power such as Jonathan White, commander of the department’s Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. In the article you get a clear insight of what it is a migrant child mentally suffers while being separated from their parents. Ortiz includes an example of a child who had thought his father had been taken away and killed, he was convinced the facility staff would do the same to him. I think this article is worth reading because there are a lot of people who are not aware this is going on. I believe it is a serious matter that should be focused on. I hope you can all le
